Tonight was the night I made plans to take my lovely bride of twenty years to dinner, it would be a jazz bar/bistro with a cave in the cellar for the live jazz musicians that would be playing that eve. The joint was Autour de Midi…et Minuit located at 11 Rue Lepic in Montmartre, the owner is the waiter during dinner and the barkeep after dinner in the jazz cave! He has a great personality and was very accommodating, after playing us for tourist that didn’t speak French, he brought over the English chalk dinner board! Lois had lamb chops that she loved and I had duck for an appetizer and for the main course! I love duck! For desert we had creme brulee and it had the best top of caramelized sugar ever, and we try creme brulee every where we go!

After dinner we rolled down the stairs to the cave, the musicians get there at 9:30 pm and start at 10. We entered at 9:45 and all of the cave seats were taken. But, there are two caves, side by side and the second cave has a massive screen that shows the band live with stereo sound speakers pumping the music in, so no loss here as it was a wonderful evening enjoying live jazz and a great dinner. On the way back to the apartment I took some night bar scene shots!
