Well with the countless hours on our own and the very great private tour that we had of Montmartre, there were only a couple things left that we hadn’t gotten to yet. Here they are in photos!
The “I Love You” wall with no people in front of it!
The “Man Walking Through Wall” art piece without people shaking his hand or in front of it!
The other Moulin, windmill left in Montmartre, this one is privately owned and not accessible like the other, which is also a cafe!
Place du Tertre! The wires on the bottom keep pigeons off!
Place du Tertre, with all of the people in it!
One of the fine artists we chatted with admiring her work when she noticed that Lois had on very unique earrings, she asked what they were? They were from a photo of mine of Table Mt back home in Oroville. She loved them, so I told her to pick out one of her favorite paintings and I would make it into a pendant for her as she did not wear earrings! This was the painting she chose!
This area is always so busy, large trucks are always in this area as they cannot drive through without at least three maneuvers! The two cafes are very famous as back in the days, all of the artists would end up at one or the other of them and drink all night. Story goes that they would show up with a painting and the barkeep would give them a bottle of wine for it. The artist died broke and the barkeep made millions later selling their originals!
Unique shot of Sacre Coeur!
Lois wanted to stop at a fabric store as we had purchased fabric back in 2003 and made pillows with it. She did finally make a purchase after going through all five floors.
One stop left, the Dam Button Store!
Back at the entrance to our apartment!
